Who can Toucan?
I made this party bag using designer series paper from the Bonanza Buddies Suite and keeping with the idea of the candles I stamped the long present image and the end of the lions tail image to make the candle. Then I snipped the toucan's beak so that the candle is being held. For the bag handles I cut two stitched rectangles one inside the other.
The gift box is made with toucan images in the Designer Series paper pack that goes with this bundle. Did you know that some of these images can also be cut out using the co-ordinating dies- although no need to wast the paper if you have the stamp set! The toucan in the label is sitting on top of the pile of presents stamped in different colours and cut out by hand as such a simple shape to cut. The tag is one of the dies and I have stamped a background using the little confetti die which as I may have mentioned before is my favourite stamp in the set and I think I will be using it al over the place with other stamp sets also! This phot shows off the lovely daffodil delight ruffled ribbon that co-ordintes with this suite, it ties so well into bows. And note on the hat a little bobble. If you don't have a bobble (mini pom pom) the confetti stamp will also make a bobble!
The card is made using the designer series paper balloons images as a background and the stamps have been chosen to go with this. My tip for using the balloon string image is to stamp the animal first and then stamp the image of the strings as it is easier to line up this way. When i did it the other way around the strings went across the animal's faces. You need a fair angle on the balloons to avoid this occurring.
A bit more of the bobbly ribbon to finish off and the sentiment - or two of the sentiments!! I love the bright colours in the designer series papers for this suite and I chose the ink colours and background cardstock colours to match these. The colours in the papers are Coastal Cabana, bermuda bay, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Terracotta Tile and Mango Melody and in the catalogue they are featured on the same page as the suite giving a really good visual on which colours to choose if you want everything to match up. It is a good idea to pick 2 or 3 of the colours to co-ordinate your ink and card together. Black memento is also the best basic standby ink for line images and of course the toucan!
I have made loads more with this Suite and tomorrow I will showcase some tags I made using pigment sprinkles technique.
