Simple Felt

I sometimes need a bit of a challenge and recently visited some challenge blogs - these are great when you have a bit of a creative block because they limit your options and stimulate your inventiveness. This card I am using two different challenges - I am playing along with Addicted to Stamps with their Clean and Simple card CAS

and with TGIF for their colour challenge this week which is : Lovely lipstick, black and old olive. #TGIF254

I used two circle dies to cut a simple wreath in white card and I used the Stampin' Up co-ordinating dies called 'Sending Flowers Dies' that co-ordinate with the Sale-a-bration freebie stamp set called Sending You Thoughts. I love the dies and the greetings in the stamp set and I have already used them on my blog on the 2nd and 3rd February and the great news is I have had so many ideas for these products that I am going to be using them for the next few blog posts as well sometimes in surprising ways. Sign up for email updates and you will not miss them!!
Please contact me if you would like to order these products if my shop link is not working!

The close up details in this card show that instead of using card for the flowers I die cut some felt instead. It was a great match for the lovely lipstick challenge colour and just to be sure I have used lovely lipstick ink to stamp the greeting three times in a row. All if the flat was adhered with glue dots. The old olive linen thread is doubled up and woven around the cut wreath and secured every 2 or 3 loops at the back with a glue dot.
If you look really closely you will see that I used the tiny little black dots that have fallen out of the black label die in the set. I glued these on with the fine tip glue pen and I also used just the end of a pokey tool to lift them and set them down.
Why not join in the fun with the challenges!
