Using Designer Series Paper - Mosaic

Two cards to show off today - They both make use of the lovely mosaic papers from stampin up - this will be retiring soon. The lovely humming birds are cut out of one of the papers and the striped mosaic pattern is crazy in the background. If you scroll to the bottom of this post I have put a photo of the papers I used in the pack.I just cut around the humming birds with scissors and glued them to the front. The Thank you sentiment is mosaic lettering and is from the co-ordinating stamp set and the little round mosaic pieces and flower pieces are also in the stamp set and cut using a 3/4 inch and 1/2 inch circle punch. Two flower jewels added to finish off.

This card I used the flower/butterfly sheet from the set and cut out additional images of the flower, butterfly and leaf and layered them on the top with dimensionals. A flower jewel finishes it off. You can see the layering better in the photo below.

A close up of both of the card showing layering and small elements added.

The colours in these cards are really pretty - mint macaron, terracotta tile, soft suede and crushed curry really work well together.
This is a close up of the papers and you can see that I used a couple of the strips to make some paper beads - check in later this week to see what I used the beads on!! (it is not a card)
