Halloween Treats

I have been quite prepared this year and made a whole batch of 24 little coffin treat boxes. I bought the boxes when they were on the clearance rack so they were 75% off which is a great price if you are giving stuff away. Then at the last minute I decided to go visit my daughter and newly born Grandson in Canada so I have left them in the safe hands of a lady called Gaby in our village who is decorating up her garage for trick or treaters this year.
It probably just as well, as I'm not sure everyone will walk up the hill to my place anyway!
Although the boxes are from last years catalogue (or maybe the year before?) the stamps that I decorated the boxes with are from this years catalogue and called 'Celebration Tidings' stamp set. I stamped the border image on each side of the coffin in silver ink. Then I cut one of the co-ordinating stitched label dies to make the tag and stamped Happy Haunting sentiment in black ink and stamped the spider image onto white card and cut it out using the die to match. I used a hole punch to punch a hole in the label. I filled the coffin with Haribo sweeties and then tied it down using the silver metallic mesh ribbon which has a little bit of stretch in it that enables it to go over the coffin shaped box well. Then a small piece of black bakers twine and some little skull charms I had in my stash finish the look.

Now that I am in Canada we will be using the Paper Pumpkin they have over here to make some little halloween crackers which I will show you in a couple of weeks. I want to make these with Abbi my daughter and at the moment I am still in two weeks quarantine so we have to wait a bit longer. I can't wait to get outside and walk around the neighbourhood to check out the decorations.
I hope you enjoy making some little goodie boxes for your own low key celebrations of hallows eve this year.
