Halloween Treats

Image
I have been quite prepared this year and made a whole batch of 24 little coffin treat boxes. I bought the boxes when they were on the clearance rack so they were 75% off which is a great price if you are giving stuff away. Then at the last minute I decided to go visit my daughter and newly born Grandson in Canada so I have left them in the safe hands of a lady called Gaby in our village who is decorating up her garage for trick or treaters this year.  It probably just as well, as I'm not sure everyone will walk up the hill to my place anyway! Although the boxes are from last years catalogue (or maybe the year before?) the stamps that I decorated the boxes with are from this years catalogue and called 'Celebration Tidings' stamp set. I stamped the border image on each side of the coffin in silver ink. Then I cut one of the co-ordinating stitched label dies to make the tag and stamped Happy Haunting sentiment in black ink and stamped the spider image onto white card and cut i

Mini Curvy Keepsakes Easter Gift Box

Image
I used the Welcome Easter Stamp set and mini curvy keepsakes box die to make theses little treat boxes. The background stamps in the set are my very favourite part of the set. The little bee, flower and leaf images have been stamped onto the box before assembling in black memento ink. The sentiments also stamped onto white card and cut into thin strips and attaching with white bakers twine tied in a box. The boxes would look lovely with just the labels - but you can also add the images from the set, coloured with watercolour pencils and cut with scissors. I just attached them with some glue to the handles of the box. The bunny looks as if he is leapfrogging over the box! See yesterdays and 23 feb blog for other ideas using this stamp set. JoPx

Party Favours

Image
Look at these great party favours put them in a treat bag or give them out as prizes. I gave mine out at a recent class.  I saw these colourful sweets in Marks and Spencers and they exactly fit the Stampin Up treat bags sadly now retired - but don't let that deter you. Just make your own treat bags with the circle shaped top adorned with these cute fellows.  I hid the end f the plastic bag underneath the decoration. I used a retired scallop circle punch for the back in DSP and then an ordinary circle punch in white card to frame the little bonanza Buddy on the front.  Use dimensions to stick it all together! Music Valentines

Image
Both of these two fabulous projects are made using the Music From the Heart Stamp Set. This is a stand alone set and includes images and some fancy script sentiments as well. The two projects I cased from other people. The piano card was actually made by a lady who is a million dollar achiever with Stampin' Up and she got to design her own stamp set as a reward. How cool is that. So she designed the stamp set as well as this lovely easel card. Her name is Dianne Olsen and she has a YouTube on how to make the card which I adjusted slightly to take into account that the European paper sizes are different to those in the USA. The gift box I cased from Ratzis Bastelkuche over on Instagram. Be sure to follow me on Instagram if you use it, I am under craftyjop or I am starting my own hash tag #joppy.co.uk These starmps are really cute I like the birds silhouettes and they can be used as musical notes!! I can't wait to design a few cards of my own using these. The cute box was

Free papers ! Painted Seasons

Image
Here is my resident Miffler from fantastic beasts with four little gift bags I crafted using the latest sale-a-bration offering. These papers representing spring, summer, autumn and winter are Free with a qualifying order of £90 along with a lovely detailed stamp set that matches them. See the pinecones on the third bag - they are one of the detailed images stamped with only once with one colour of ink and yet it looks almost photographic. Also on March 1st it is possible to purchase a set of framelits to match. So well worth waiting to order until the 1st March!! This is my own design from years and years ago which I perfected from using it for a party bag for my children's birthday parties. The bag takes a whole sheet of 12x12 inch paper and maybe some more if you want to decorate it a bit more. OR make it slightly shorter and just use the one sheet. I designed it so it has a pocket all around the front and for a party bag this allows lots of extra goodies to be tucked into
