Timeless Tulips - Cut out technique

Image
This is such an easy technique and so effective! You stamp out across your card using the Timeless tulip stamp images and the technique of sponging the edges as on my blog two days ago - but this time you run the card through the big shot with either the two stitched square frames or using a die cut with letters. This one I have used is now retired but you may have some dies for letters in your stash.  Once you have die cut the frame /letters you glue the back of the card onto the card base or the card mat and then pop the frame/ letters onto dimensionals - I used the mini dimensions for the frame and the normal sized ones for the letters. I hope you like this technique. Mothers Day in the UK is March 22nd so plenty of time to get organised with your crafting and I have lots of other flowery projects planned for this month! JoPx

Sponged panel - Timeless Tulips Card - Mothers Day

Image
This card was made using the Timeless Tulips stamp set featured yesterday. Today I have used a technique where a strip of the card background is sponged. You mask off the strip using some post it notes and then lightly sponge, using sponge daubers. the bit in between. I used pink and yellow colours near the top and the green near the bottom. Then just stamp your images on top of the strip. I separately stamped two of the medium sized tulips and cut them out with scissors and used some stampin' dimensionals to adhere them directly on top of the stamped images. I added some little dots from my stash in the same colours I used on the card. Love Stampin' Up colour co-ordination! I have two more card tomorrow which I have stepped up using a new technique. Stay posted. JoPx

Tulips from Amsterdam

I used a colour palette of So Saffron, Melon Mambo and Pear Pizazz for these cards. I love making a big batch together. I used the Timeless Tulips stamp set and the co-ordinating tulip builder punch. I love having punches, I don't have to get up and sort out the die cutting machine and I can punch anywhere! The stamps are photopolymer which means that you can see for placement. I stamped first in the So Saffron ink and then I inked the bottom of the stamp with a sponge dauber and stamped off once and then stamped over the original stamped image to create this pretty ombre effect. Some of the tulips I have stamped and cut out and one I have part cut out. There is a lovely array of sentiments in this stamp set and a lovely font - so its worth going for just for these! They would be especially great for Mothers Day. If you want to buy the set for your mother for mothers day contact me! I can organise some gift packaging and a matching card - for free when you order the bund
