Musical Valentines Cards

Image
Today and tomorrow I am sharing with you some cards that I have been selling locally at a music shop. The CD wallet is not quite finished! To make the cards I used a colour palette of real red, basic black and whisper white card and in. I used the Music from the Heart stamp set for all of the stamping and I used my last years (but still available in the main catalogue) Meant to be  stamps and Be mine stitched framelit dies. Are you ready for valentines day - did you get your card organised yet? I am not ...! Cant decide which one I like the best. JoPx

Dandelion Wishes - Can be Valentines too!

Once again trawling through my stamp collection and came across this one (I love dandelions!) I stamped it using the baby wipe technique - this is a technique where you make yourself a little ink pad by dropping different coloured inks from the re-inkers onto a stack of around 4 baby wipes. Watch and see them spread out a little and then ink up your stamp on the top. It gives this pretty multi coloured effect! I stamped in one of the dandelion images and one of the sentiments from the set. I used night of navy, real red and daffodil delight re-inkers on my baby wipe pad. I mounted up on night of navy mat and card base and in the middle is some designer series paper called 'See a silhouette' I featured a stamp set from the same suite yesterday. I had the paper in mind right from the start and that is where I chose the colour combination for the baby wipe ink pad. Here is the stamp set images. Just lushy! I used a mini bulldog clip in silver with a little hank of re

I just bought the suite with this stamp set from the main catalogue I have been wanting it for ages and ages mainly because it has a die of a dandelion and I love dandelions they are my 'thing!' but I won't buy a stamp set until I know lots and lots of ways I can use it so I have only just got this and following the success of the Birthday Bonanza suite (and I still have lots more posts with this set to show you) the suite works for me really well. So I bought the dies along with stamp set, glitter embossing powder in white and black, co-ordinating papers , ribbon and it also came with some really cute mini bulldog clips which I have used in a couple of posts this week.  I will use this set and do a whole week of it later, but for now I am concentrating on blogging valentines and mothers day and Easter - so many events coming along to enjoy!  This card I used watercolour paper which is quite bumpy and thick. I spritzed it all over with water and then sprinkled on

A lovely sentiment that is on a stamp set I have had for a year now. I have been looking through some of the stamp sets I already have for one suitable for Valentines Day. In the UK unlike the USA and Canada only one card is usually sent to your loved one and so it needs to be relevant and  meaningful. Sometimes also anonymous after all that was the original meaning of Valentines cards was a note to tell someone they had a secret admirer. At school it was a fun way to tell someone you fancied them but with a permanent lover in your life it is a way to acknowledge your appreciation even though the recipient is known. This card would definitely be great for a fisherman! I have one of those who would definitely appreciate this card. I made a embossed background with Coastal Weave embossing folder which is from the new Spring/summer mini catalogue. I bought it because I thought it looked basket weave and I could use on some Easter basket/boxes later. The little tiny bulldog clip

Music Valentines

Both of these two fabulous projects are made using the Music From the Heart Stamp Set. This is a stand alone set and includes images and some fancy script sentiments as well. The two projects I cased from other people. The piano card was actually made by a lady who is a million dollar achiever with Stampin' Up and she got to design her own stamp set as a reward. How cool is that. So she designed the stamp set as well as this lovely easel card. Her name is Dianne Olsen and she has a YouTube on how to make the card which I adjusted slightly to take into account that the European paper sizes are different to those in the USA. The gift box I cased from Ratzis Bastelkuche over on Instagram. Be sure to follow me on Instagram if you use it, I am under craftyjop or I am starting my own hash tag #joppy.co.uk These starmps are really cute I like the birds silhouettes and they can be used as musical notes!! I can't wait to design a few cards of my own using these. The cute box was
