Sending Flowers Die - Easel card

Image
When I first saw the sending flowers dies I fell immediately involve with this lovely large circular image and then had to think - but what can I use it for ! It does come with some pretty cool labels like the black dotted label in this card - all those little dots will love your hoover!!! and some additional flowers cut outs. I realised it made a pretty good easel card - just fold it over in the middle and the flowers are already in position to stand up by themselves! I cut the green card behind the easel slightly larger than the basic black card base so that it creates a frame. The sentiments on the front and inside the card are both using the Sending you Thoughts stamp set free in Sale-a-bration and they fit the die set table s really well. I have not finished with these dies yet! Or the stamp set. I think they deserve a prettier look as well so watch this space and as the sun comes out I may come out of my black mood and start thinking spring! JoPx

This box is on fire!

Image
I made this box with black cardstock and in order to incorporate the die cut it was a 5 x 5 inches box but only 3.5 inches deep. Cut the card to 12 x 12 and then score the box at 3.5 inches on each edge so the sides of the box are 3.5 inches deep. The lid is a piece of card cut at a smidge over 8 x 8 inches - literally another 1/8th inch (this makes it slightly larger than the box so the lid fits over! Then score at 1.5 inches on each edge. Because of being this size it is not easy to put it through the big shot - unless you have an A4 sized one - so I had to fold over the box sides which leaves an impression on the lid - see photo To get over this you have to cover with pretty designer series papers. I used the same paper that I used behind the box lid. You cut the paper for the edges at 4.5inches x 1.25 inches. Stick a square of paper behind the die cut image using dimensionals that is 4.75 x 4.75 inches. This creates a recessed lid aperture.  Make sure you pull up all o...

Musical Valentines Cards

Image
Today and tomorrow I am sharing with you some cards that I have been selling locally at a music shop. The CD wallet is not quite finished! To make the cards I used a colour palette of real red, basic black and whisper white card and in. I used the Music from the Heart stamp set for all of the stamping and I used my last years (but still available in the main catalogue) Meant to be  stamps and Be mine stitched framelit dies. Are you ready for valentines day - did you get your card organised yet? I am not ...! Cant decide which one I like the best. JoPx

Party Favours

Image
Look at these great party favours put them in a treat bag or give them out as prizes. I gave mine out at a recent class.  I saw these colourful sweets in Marks and Spencers and they exactly fit the Stampin Up treat bags sadly now retired - but don't let that deter you. Just make your own treat bags with the circle shaped top adorned with these cute fellows.  I hid the end f the plastic bag underneath the decoration. I used a retired scallop circle punch for the back in DSP and then an ordinary circle punch in white card to frame the little bonanza Buddy on the front.  Use dimensions to stick it all together! Stampin' Through the Catalogue Challenge - A Special Someone

Image
This stamp set is super-cute and I am shelling out of my 'Bonanza Buddies' birthday ideas for a moment to participate in the #stampinthroughthecatalogue challenge, which is this stamp set. I have made three cards altogether. This set has everything going for it - a good price £16.00 for 23 stamps. 3 cute images with backgrounds to colour them in if you hate colouring in (like me!) Also it has flower images, balloon images including a heart shaped balloon. The teeniest tiniest butterfly image also - perfect for making your own background papers. Then it also has birthday , get well and thank you sentiments. To top it all off - Stampin' Up from the 4th February are offering - for a limited time some dies to match the set also.  This card was made using the dies - as you can see there is some grass and flowers and a speech bubble to fit the stamp set sentiments perfectly. This card has already been sent to a friend - I had to take a quick photo! Check my shop on the 4th...
